DSpace
a digital asset management and preservation system

DSpace (www.dspace.org) is a system developed initially through the HP-MIT alliance to capture, disseminate, store and preserve digital assets of an institution. These institutions are primarily educational, although not exclusively. The software is open source (under a BSD licence) and since its initial release in 2002 has developed a large user and developer base around the globe.
Additional information about the software and the development process can be found on the website as well as at its various information resources:
SourceForge: sourceforge.net/projects/dspace
Wiki: wiki.dspace.org
OneOverZero developers have been involved with DSpace in various professional capacities since the start of 2003, and Richard (our Technical Director) is a core developer of the system in his academic capacity. It is a natural progression, then, for us to offer our experience and skills with this system as part of OneOverZero's commitment to open source and the open access to information that the DSpace platform promotes.
If you are interested in finding out more about DSpace, or are looking for some help getting set up with your own Institutional Repository (what's that? drop us an email and we'll explain; or your could read Richard's book) or other digital asset management system then please contact us. You will also find us skulking around on the mailing lists.
